Job Title: Research Committee Member
Responsible To: Public Relations Coordinator
Position Summary: To spearhead and manage research initiatives providing insight into elements related to the Pirate Party of Canada platform, prioritize information for research, oversea the writing of press releases, articles and essays, and report back to the PR Coordinator
Duties:
- Determine direction for research related to PPCA platform
- Delegate research to members of the Research & Innovation Committee
- Research information related to the PPCA platform
- Prioritize information for research
- Write, or delegate the writing of press releases, articles and essays related to research topics
- Recruit people to the Research & Innovation Committee
- Prepare a monthly report prepared for presentation at the monthly PR Team meeting
- Attend the monthly PR Team meeting
Qualifications:
- Be a member, in good standing, of the Pirate Party of Canada
- Possess Research Skills (Internet & Traditional)
- Possess Writing Skills
- Have a creative mind
- Some experience directing a group of 5 – 11 people
- Able to keep up to date on current events
Time Commitment:
- We request that if you commit, you do so for a minimum of 1-year
Comments:
- Must have own internet access
- This position is very knowledge heavy. We request that prospective members are fully informed on pirate-related issues at all times
